Conference Overview

The education leaders with whom we work are indefatigable professionals patterning modern approaches to student success. Comprised of secondary, postsecondary, and adult education innovators, the NROC member hive is a community unafraid of experimentation and iteration, and their efforts result in improved access and equity which can extend beyond their institutions. The 2019 NROC Member Meeting offers members the opportunity to learn from and share fresh insights related to the implementation of NROC Math, NROC English, HippoCampus, and EdReady.

Parking at the hotel is valet only and is $24 / day but there is parking nearby in a public lot.

Located on Washington and Tyler Street between Franklin Street and Del Monte Avenue (340 Tyler St). Best parking for Monterey Marriott. Gate-operated entrances, $7 flat entry fee per day, accepts coin, bills and Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.

Wednesday Workgroups

Adult Education Workgroup | Wednesday, March 13, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

For the past year, an Adult Education Advisory Group has been sharing recommended alignments for EdReady, as well as considerations for expanding our offerings to better address English literacy and career-pathways initiatives in tandem with WIOA. In this session, we will attempt to prioritize the improvements that could have the greatest impact for these learners and identify some of the special implementation (i.e. adoption, training, and distribution) challenges we must consider. All are welcome to attend this special interest group.

Partnerships for the Future Workgroup | Wednesday, March 13, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

In this session, we will look more closely at some of the educational areas that warrant deeper investment consideration. Additionally, we will discuss potential partnerships that could help us better meet our mission of improving student access and equity. We anticipate breaking into a few clusters based on interest. Topics may include: career and technical education, MTSS / RTI, English literacy, alternative education, and expanding content areas. All are welcome to attend this special interest group.
