Dr. Kerry McKee was born in Ft. Collins, CO and grew up in El Paso, TX. Her background is in math education. After receiving her PhD, she took a different direction and opened an inclusive preschool for children with Down syndrome and similar developmental differences. While it was very rewarding, she and her husband made the decision to move to Colorado Springs to put their daughter, Eloise, in a more progressive school system. When they moved, Dr. McKee went back to the classroom and is currently the Math Department Chair at Mitchell High School. In her free time, she became one of the coaches for the Mitchell Unified Sports teams, and she also helps coach her daughter’s Special Olympics team.
