Abbey has over a decade of professional experience working in various institutions of higher education, from open enrollment to selective universities. She served in a number of capacities working with students at the point of admissions, advising, student support, and teaching. She has dedicated her career to supporting and promoting access initiatives for students to achieve their educational and career aspirations.

Abbey lives in the Raleigh, North Carolina area with her husband, daughter, and spunky bloodhound. She enjoys traveling, reading, and exploring all that her newest city has to offer.
